The Order of Leopold II is an esteemed Belgian order named in honour of King Leopold II. Established on August 24th, 1900, Leopold II initially created it as a Sovereign of the Congo Free State. After 25 years of meritorious service, the Gold Medal is awarded to non-commissioned officers who served a Private or Corporal.
